What should I post on LinkedIn?
I'll answer that question with even more questions!
Who is your ideal client?
Who are you directing your content to?
What's going on behind the scenes?
What conversations are you having at work?
What stories can you tell us about your company? About your business?
What can you teach us? We are here to learn!
If you can answer those questions, you have content that's perfect for LinkedIn! Tell us the stories. Take us behind the scenes. Share those conversations with us. Related to us because we are humans just like the people you're talking to off LinkedIn.
Now onto the next one...
"How often should I post here on LinkedIn?
My "go to" answer when I'm asked that one is...post content when you have something to say but stay consistent. Regardless if it’s once a week or more.? Inconsistency will kill your reach.?
OK, I'll say it again. Inconsistency will KILL your reach. Whatever you do on LinkedIn, stay consistent.

I'll tell you what I did. When I started posting videos on LinkedIn back in 2018, I posted on Tuesdays and Fridays and stuck to that schedule for over a year.? Back then the number of people posting native videos on LinkedIn was minimal. I made a plan and I stuck to it.
Some people post once a week, some post every other day. Most post 2-3 times a week.
I won't tell you how many times to post, but I will say when you make a gameplan, stick to it.
I compare posting on LinkedIn to a fine wine.? Your content needs time to marinate, to get better over time.
Don't forget to comment IN ADDITION to posting content. Have conversations and shake hands, you won't get comments on your posts if you don't pay it forward.
What about you? How would you answer these questions? Anything I've left out or would like to add?

8 个月The most important posting content advice for me is first of all to just START and the second is post whenever you feel like it. But after that, longer term, you have to make sure it fits within your capacity. So if you can handle 3x a week great. If you can't find what can work for you.
How often can you post high-quality content consistently, Deanna Russo? Answering this question tells you how often you should post.

8 个月I woke up with you. Besides confusing your husband, this was the top post in the feed. I hope it isn't downhill from here. There were too many videos in 2018. I don't have an official schedule. John Kraski posts all the time and it's always nice seeing him in the feed. If you have two ideas in one day- Dolly Parton wrote I Will Always Love You and Jolene on the same day. It's unlikely lightning will strike like that. Won't know until you post.

8 个月Thank you Deanna Russo as usual for having the right answers we all want to know. As a writer as well as a survivor of trauma, I often struggle with which topics to tackle, so I've been trying to mix it up a little. I think it's often a matter of what feels right at the time, and the response (or lack of) you get. Just my two cents! ??
