What should be considered when advertising medical devices in Germany?

In the current issue of the journal "Medizinprodukte Journal", my colleague Miriam Wirth and I have published an overview article on current case law and the latest developments in the field of marketing for medical devices. Among other things, we have shed light on the question of what requirements must be placed on scientific evidence to support advertising claims, what significance CE certification has in this context, and what must be observed in the case of "of label" advertising for medical devices outside the certified intended purpose. Furthermore, we have summarized the latest developments in connection with the conduct of legal competition proceedings in Germany.
