This is what is written on America’s Statue of Liberty. This is how we became a great country and will continue to be.
“Give me your tired, your poor; your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
Americans and our leaders who no longer abide by this noble declaration are in direct violation of God's laws.
Few Christian Churches in America are responding to this crisis biblically, and according to Christ's Law of Love. -- We are the most affluent country in the world because of God's blessings. -- Are we, the rich, to deny the poor food, water, clothing, shelter, and safety? Is this how God has taught us to treat the poor and desperate?
Here are a few passages of many in the Bible instructing Believers how to treat the poor and the alien.
- "The Lord defends the cause of aliens and loves them, giving him food and clothing." Deuteronomy 10:18
- "Do not take advantage of a an alien living in one of your towns." Deuteronomy 24:14
- He who has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." First John 3:17-18
- "Jesus answered, If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Matthew 19:21
- "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." Matthew 25:35
- " So I will come near to you for judgment. I will be quick to testify against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress and deprive aliens of justice, but do not fear me,' says the LORD Almighty." Malachi 3:5
- "If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday." Isaiah 58:10
- "Cursed is the man who withholds justice from the alien, the fatherless or the widow." Deuteronomy 27:19
- "He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God." Proverbs 14:31
- "He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done." Proverbs 19:17
- "He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses." Proverbs 28:27
- "The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern." Proverbs 29:7

1 年100% on board with legal immigration like my relatives before me did. You're comment I assume inferred legal immigration. The mass flow of illegal immigration create chaos that allows drug and human trafficking is unacceptable because that creates conditions for evil to flourish and harm many, many people. Compassion is humanity's greatest trait, but evil's favorite trait to take advantage of.
