What She Really Wants for Christmas

While I am not saying that you should overextend yourself and create a financial headache for yourself, your life partner is important to your success, and showing her, you appreciate her will make your life so much better! I got this list from one of my awesome business partners and since my lady has the love language of gifts, I’ve saved it for year-round use.

I'm about to do every husband/boyfriend/wife/partner a favor here. Here's 11 things she wants. Get one. Get a couple. Get an idea from this & make it better. You're welcome.

1. Mani/Pedi…get her a gift certificate for both.

2. Massage (a professional one...not a coupon for 4 minutes of you rubbing her back in the hopes of ultimately getting some)

3. An empty house for 24-48 hours. Or a hotel room for just her for the same amount of time. Build gift 1 & 2 into this one if you feel fancy. Just relaxation & binging all the shows she wants to with no worries or responsibilities. (Do not call her asking what you are supposed to eat or where she keeps the milk. You are a grown a$$ man - figure it out).

4. A PLANNED (I cannot emphasize planned enough - don’t make her gift a chore for her) weekend out. Fancy hotel booked, event tickets bought, dinner reservations made, childcare arranged. It doesn’t matter if the event is big or small, what matters is you put it together.

5. A cleaning company to come and clean the house. Maybe have this done while taking advantage of idea 3 or 4. Or you do it while she’s gone.

6. A gift card(s) to her favorite store(s) - & not to a place where you know she will go spend it all on the kids. I prefer ones to my favorite clothing stores or craft stores where I am sure to buy myself something. (Does she like to read? Bookstore. Does she craft? Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Does she like make-up? Ulta. Does she love Target? TARGET! I cannot hold your hand more than this.)

7. Get her car detailed - a mobile detailer is a plus so they can come to her.

8. Gift cards for a girl’s night out. (Besties notified and booked!)

9. Jewelry (not in the shape of a butterfly or heart). Go to Jared or any jewelry store & ask them what’s popular or at least pay attention to if she wears silver or gold.

10. Schedule a professional photographer to take family pictures. Wear the coordinating outfit, get a haircut, shave, smile, & act right while you are there.

11. A NICE bottle of perfume (if that’s her thing). If she has a scent she always wears & you know she loves it, get that. If not, smell what she currently has so you know if she likes fruity/floral/vanilla & buy her a nice bottle of perfume - not body spray from Bath & Body Works.

***No robes, kitchen gadgets, or cleaning tools unless she specifically asked for one.***

Not all of these apply to every woman. If she’s told you 812 times that perfume bothers her allergies don’t go get a bottle of Chanel N° 5. If she doesn’t like someone touching her feet maybe spring for the facial instead of the pedi. This shouldn’t be a Secret Santa game with someone you hardly know.
