What is Shaker Screen?

Shaker screen is a high-precision fine powder screening machine with low noise and high efficiency. It takes 3-5 minutes to change the screen quickly. It has a fully enclosed structure and is suitable for screening and filtering of materials such as particles, powders, and mucus. The rotary vibrating screen uses an upright motor as the excitation source. Eccentric weights are installed at the upper and lower ends of the motor to convert the motor's rotational motion into horizontal, vertical, and inclined three-dimensional motion, and then transmit this motion to the screen surface. Adjusting the phase angle at the upper and lower ends can change the motion trajectory of the material on the screen surface.


Features of Shaker screen

1. Small size, light weight, easy to move, the direction of the discharge port can be adjusted arbitrarily, coarse and fine materials are automatically discharged, and can be automated or manually operated.

2. High screening accuracy and efficiency, any powder, particles, and mucus can be used.

3. The screen is not blocked, the powder does not fly, the screening can reach a minimum of 500 mesh (28 microns) and the filtration can reach a minimum of 5 microns.

4. Unique mesh design (mother-child type), long-lasting screen use, easy screen change, only takes 3-5 minutes, simple operation, easy cleaning.

5. No mechanical action, easy maintenance, can be used in single or multiple layers, and the parts in contact with the material are made of stainless steel (except for medical use).

Shaker screen is suitable for various powder industries. Any particles, powders, and mucus can be screened within a certain range.

Industrial industry: resin powder, pigment, washing powder, micro powder, paint, soda ash, lemon powder, rubber, plastic, etc.

Abrasive and ceramic industry: alumina, quartz sand, mud, spray soil particles.

Food industry: sugar, salt, alkali, monosodium glutamate, milk powder, soy milk, yeast, juice, soy sauce, vinegar, etc.

Papermaking industry: coating, clay mud, black and white liquid, waste liquid, papermaking liquid, wastewater recovery.

Metallurgical industry: titanium oxide, zinc oxide, electromagnetic materials, metal powder, welding rod powder, etc.

Pharmaceutical industry: Chinese medicine powder, Chinese medicine liquid, western medicine powder, western medicine liquid, Chinese and western medicine granules, etc.

Environmental protection: garbage, human and animal feces, waste oil, food wastewater, wastewater processing, etc.

Working principle of Shaker screen


The Shaker screen uses an upright motor as the excitation source. Eccentric weights are installed at the upper and lower ends of the motor to convert the motor's rotational motion into horizontal, vertical, and inclined three-dimensional motion, and then transmit this motion to the screen surface, so that the material moves outward on the screen surface. Involute motion, so this series of vibrating screens is called a rotary vibrating screen. The rotary vibrating screen has the advantages of long material running trajectory and high screen surface utilization. Adjusting the phase angle of the upper and lower weights can change the material's motion trajectory on the screen surface. The material can be finely screened and probabilistically screened.


After the shaker screen is started, its power device, i.e. the eccentric blocks at different phases at the upper and lower ends of the vibration motor, generates a composite inertial force due to the high-speed placement. This inertial force forces the vibrating body of the screen machine to perform a compound rotation motion. The screen frame continuously reciprocates under the action of the vibration force, and drives the screen surface to perform periodic vibration, so that the material on the screen surface moves with the screen box in a directional and active manner. During this period, the material smaller than the screen hole diameter falls to the lower layer through the screen hole and becomes the underscreen material. The material larger than the screen hole diameter is discharged from the discharge port after continuous jumping motion, and finally the screening work is completed. The motion trajectory of the vibrating body of the rotary vibrating screen is a complex three-dimensional curve in space. The projection of this curve on the horizontal plane is a circle, and the projection on the two vertical planes is two identical ellipses. In actual use, by adjusting the relative phase of the eccentric blocks at the upper and lower ends of the vibration motor, the motion trajectory of the material on the screen surface can be changed, thereby achieving different screening operation purposes.


Preparation before installation of shaker screen

1. Check whether the motor nameplate meets the requirements.

2. Use a 500V megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance. The value should be based on the drying of the stator winding. The drying temperature should not exceed 120℃.


3. Check the motor fasteners to prevent loosening.

4. Check the motor surface for damage and deformation.

5. Check whether it rotates flexibly. If there is any abnormality, it should be eliminated.

6. Check the power supply to see if there is a phase loss and run it without load for 5 minutes.
