There are lots of things I love about my role at Promethean, but in particular here are 3 campaigns that we are running this year that I believe sets us apart from other organisations in our sector.
1. The Promethean Grant
Last year we invited schools to create and submit videos highlighting why they need new education technology and the positive impact it would have on their school. We had over 250 entries and 30 were selected by our judges to receive a Promethean ActivPanel. The campaign went so well last year, that we are running it again this year (more info at www.prometheangrant.co.uk).
Why it sets us apart:
- It provides a number of schools, that wouldn’t otherwise have the resources to purchase edtech, with the opportunity to win it for their school
- The amazing content that is created. Like this entry, and this one, as well as this one.
- It creates stars, like Jamie and Mr Hunt.
2. The State of Technology in Education Report
Our annual education technology trends report surveys more than 1,600 UK educators to create a clear picture of the current situation that schools find themselves in, in relation to education technology.
Why it sets us apart:
- In line with our mission to put educators at the centre of everything we do, the report provides real insight into what is really important
- Its popularity and reach grows every year
- We ask open questions as well as closed ones, which gives us a fantastic set of genuine responses and quotes, as well as stats that provide overall pictures
3. ResourcEd – our education technology blog
We regularly post insight, news and strategy pieces on our education blog, which has grown significantly over the past couple of years.
Why it sets us apart:
- We never take a ‘one size fits all’ approach and ensure that we write content specific to the various roles within schools
- ResourcEd covers a wide range of topics, from collaborative learning to digital literacy to mental health awareness
- It includes lots of free online guides and tools, such as the Quick Guide to Maximising Your Edtech Investment and Mix & Match Unique Learners Profiling Tool
