What separates you from the others candidates?

I was recently asked,” what skills outside of your technical abilities, separates you from the other candidates, we could potentially hire with this position.”

I took a moment to speak and then shared this.

2. I created a nationally ranked podcast geared toward entrepreneurs with 300+ episodes in less than 2 years, over 26,000 downloads, 600,000 minutes of listened to content in 70 different countries. https://bit.ly/2Cawlxy
3. I’ve lived studied and taught and empowered students in over 15 cities, studied in 12 different countries and am fluent in Spanish.
4. I have 2 degrees and a technical diploma. One bachelor’s, a technical diploma from U Of A and a soon to be MBA.
5. I’ve mastered and am still creating an organic community built from scratch. I literally curated a community, hosted conferences, meetups and opportunities for many around me.

Before I could go into the rest, we got into another conversation. 

As I reflect on this question I have to give myself a moment of appreciation which isn’t something I dwell on often.

In conclusion, remember to appreciate the wins along the journey and enjoy the process.
