What Senna taught me professionally

Yesterday was the 29th anniversary of the death of Ayrton Senna, for me the best F1 driver of all time.

?

What lessons for life did this great pilot and great man give me?

?

What we can achieve is not limited to the conditions we have, but what we can do with what we have.

?

In the distant year of 1984, Ayrton Senna with his Toleman managed to take 3 seconds per lap from Alain Prost's Mc Laren, having finished the race in 2nd place, only because other drivers were strugling to sustain theis cars on the track, the direction of race stopped the race claiming that the conditions of the track were enviable.

It was his 1st season in F1, his 6th race and the 1st time racing in Monaco.

?

The following year, already with a better car, a Lotus, he repeated the feat again.

In the 2nd race of his 2nd season in F1, he takes 1st place in the Estoril (PT) deluge.

?

He was "getting the rewards" of many hours of training, driving a kart in the rain when he was little boy.

?

What lessons did I learn for my career in the industry?

?

It doesn't matter if we have the best machine on the market, the most expensive, and with the best specifications.

Our competitors, if they have money, can also have it.

?

What we internally analyse, study, develop and teach to the machine operator, so that he can take advantage of the machine's capabilities at 100% is what will give our company a competitive advantage over our competitors.

?

THANKS Senna.
