What to see in DC during ITW?

Hello again :)

Before we dive into our main subject we have some exciting news! You will soon see something different about us. No spoilers ahead, just keep an eye out for our next edition for the good stuff.

ITW is getting very close! And I know you are now setting up your meetings, making sure the travel arrangements are done, taking your favorite business clothes to the drycleaner, etc.

But to make this ITW count you have to think about stuff to do outside the conference! This will only make you more relaxed and productive for the next days and meetings, especially if jetlag will be an issue.

So we encourage you to take some time to explore the city and its lesser-known attractions. Here are five unique and exciting places to add to your itinerary:

  1. The National Museum of African American History and Culture: This museum showcases the contributions and experiences of African Americans throughout the history of the United States. From slavery to modern-day culture, this museum provides a comprehensive and insightful look at a crucial part of American history.
  2. The National Postal Museum: Located next to Union Station, this museum tells the story of the U.S. Postal Service and its role in shaping the country. Visitors can explore exhibits about the postal service's history, technology, and pop culture influence.
  3. The Wharf: A vibrant waterfront district, the Wharf offers restaurants, bars, and live music venues, as well as a farmers' market, art galleries, and a public park. Take a stroll along the waterfront and enjoy the scenic views of the Potomac River.
  4. The Library of Congress: Known as the "nation's library," the Library of Congress is the largest library in the world and is home to millions of books, maps, photographs, and other historical documents. Visitors can take guided tours and explore the library's exhibitions and reading rooms.
  5. The United States Botanic Garden: Established in 1820, the Botanic Garden is one of the oldest botanical gardens in North America. The garden features a wide variety of plants from around the world, as well as educational exhibits and programs.

We hope you have a productive and enjoyable time at ITW 2023, and take advantage of the opportunity to discover some of the unique attractions that Washington DC has to offer.

Have a great week ahead!
