The business world is changing at a great place. It’s not easy to promote your business products or services to reach out to a wider audience without executing a marketing plan.
If you are here to read this article, then you are curious about marketing and its laws. This article is all about Marketing. Let’s Start with this question :-
What comes to your mind when you hear the word “Marketing”?
It can be the sales, targeting the audience, simply advertising, promotion type, Research, Planning, Price, Idea, Creativity, Communication, Connection, Public Relations, Opportunities and many more. It differs person to person, because everyone has their own perspective.
But, these all are just start ups of Marketing. People have been expanding their product or service as a marketing in a traditional way through Direct Mail, Flyers and Brochures, Face to Face Interaction, Print Ads, Telemarketing, Event Marketing & so on. But, In Today’s world, with the improvement in technology, new marketing strategies for reaching out to a wider audience are opened & Digital Marketing is the fastest way to reach the Customers. Some people still work in a traditional way but A good strategy of marketing is Work Smart, not Hard.
Marketing starts before creating the product. It starts with understanding the customer’s, their needs & satisfaction. Marketing is not just about selling, but keeping good relation with customers by communicating with them. Communication Skill is a major important factor in marketing. Communication doesn't mean Sophisticated, vocabulary or grammar English but it would be your thoughts which you are able to transfer to customers effectively.
You have to build trust simultaneously. If I say about trust then Word-of-mouth is a major part in marketing where most customers consider it as the most trusted source. Product to Customers not effects much rather than Customer to Customer effects. it is important where people want to hear from people.
Marketing is not all about using TOOLS & TACTICS to explore your products & services but it needs talent & passion in you which you are able to create something unique where you capture position in the mind of Customers.
Marketing is effective only if you have the secret ingredient to get the most out of this competitive world. And the secret ingredient is to build A Good Product & Service. A Good product does not need quantity, it needs quality. If you have too much food at a time then your stomach gets pain or creates other problems same as, if you concentrate on quantity only rather than quality then market structure gets spoiled. Good things never break easily.
If a good product works best & builds trust in customers in a very first stage then it creates the brand itself and sells itself. Here one of the fine example to explain :
** Have you heard about KFC ?
Well Colonel Harland Sanders, founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken. After many ups & downs, It wasn't until age 40 that he began selling chicken dishes in a service station. His recipe was rejected 1,009 times before anyone accepted it. Sander's "secret recipe" was coined "Kentucky Fried Chicken", and quickly became a hit. Even today, Sanders remains central in KFC's branding and his face still appears in their logo. He created a good chicken dish which converted into a brand itself.
So, don’t be paralyzed, just get started. For a beginner, marketing is tough but it’s quite fun to do the impossible.
Paul Gillin says in his quote that, “Think like a Customer”. Exactly, if you think like a customer towards your own product then you will definitely get all your question’s answer. You will be able to convert your product into a brand.
- Do you know that?
Marketing is a deep ocean. Before starting to swim, you have to understand its deepness. I am not scaring you, just giving information on marketing fundamentals.
Let’s talk about simplest way of Marketing through Funnel :
The marketing funnel is straightforward. It is the process of trying to convert the target audience into customers. When you choose right niche, work of funnel will start
In Short Term, says CATT.
“C” - stands for Content which is the first step that describes you through writing and attracts people towards your product & service.

“T” - stands for Trust where you have to build with your audience using Email Marketing. And,
“T” - stands for Transaction which converts the audience into customers by sale
But still a question arises I think, am I right ? One of the major question which you should ask yourself and that is :-
- Have you thought about how you should market your business in a Recession ?
Recession is a very tough time for business people when your overall budget gets changed. From your miscellaneous expenses to marketing expenses.
Economic slowdowns are not good for anyone. When things get dicey then other outlets that won’t support your brand’s messaging long-term.
Due to this, before executing your product in the market, you should study it, research it economically also. You can not grow only in one area. If your body is weak then you have to eat food which gives calcium, vitamins and hemoglobin to sustain & grow continuously. Same as, your product needs research globally in an economic way to decide your product price, production level, demand-supply to support your vision and goals.
If it still works less then another source are layoffs, downsizing, and other steep cost-cutting measures are often the first steps to take during an economic downturn. You should adjust your marketing strategy overall. You never really do know what's going to be the most effective until you pull the trigger and really test it out.
