Sandblasted finish is made by a machine which can apply high pressure to blast the sand to the surface of stone. We can use metal or regular sand. The cost of metal sand is higher. It usually used inside a special room. So the metal sand can be recycled. The regular sand is the most popular and lower cost. The sandblasted finish can create uneven surface which is highly slip resistant even in the wet application. So it is popular to use in pool coping, exterior flooring and steps.

Different stone has to use different pressure to make the finish. The hard stone like granite needs to use highest pressure while the soft stone like limestone can use low pressure.
