Here are three areas you need to consider as part of your decision-making process

Get Intimate

If you are going to align yourself to one particular business then it’s so inoperant that you gather as much information as possible, research it and understand it. Knowing the business intimately is going to help you understand its workings, culture and values. These are important snippets of information for you to consider in your decision. You also need to consider how long the business has been in operation. How is it considered in the marketplace? What are reviews like? Has there been any potentially damaging bad press?

My Tip:

One of the best ways to get an honest evaluation of a business is to talk the people who are currently working in or with it. You will not get more honest of feedback than from those with experiences working for or with a company.

Ask the person who has presented you with a business opportunity if they would be willing to introduce you to other members, preferably members outside of their team and when they do be sure and listen to the stories of their experience with the company.

If your contact isn’t willing to make any introductions, consider this too? This is a normal and fair request and should not be considered a problem.

Training & Support

Be sure to find out how much (and how intensive!) the training provided will be and what kind of support process is in place during your start up period.

The training and support provided needs to be conducted by the company within its own training system. The reason for this is to ensure that you are given efficient and proper training that from accredited or professional trainers, who have a thorough process and methodology that is a little more than ‘on the job’ style training. It is true that not all businesses will have such systems and processes in place. There will be those that let you adopt whatever work for you and there will be those that have high expectations and a list of can and can’t do’s 

My Tip

Try to find for a business that has a proven simple system available for all members to use. This makes it simple to learn and pass on to others and is the best process for success.

Don’t Get Sold By Hype

This is a golden rule. Do not fall for the temptation of streets paved with gold and ease of business. No business is easy, it all takes hard work, and nothing comes to those who aren’t willing to make an effort.

Don’t be tempted by any hype, this is a classic sales tactic that will overlook all of the ideologies and principles you believe in, instead distracting you with shiny objects and happy, relaxed people in a constant state of joy.

You might be made to feel that if you don’t join there and then you miss out on a fortune of money and great success. Don’t be distracted in to joining a company that may not be what you truly desire.

Remember what you are looking for. Remember that your plan is a long-term business that will generate an income for you for years and years to come. It’s not important when you sign-up but it is important why you do.
