What is required for a fulfilling life?

We all look to live a fulfilling life and we usually measure it in terms of materialistic achievements. We measure our life in terms of materialistic gains we have, how famous we are, how luxurious life we are living?

Hold on, is that all counts?

What is the basic thing a soul lounges for? I believe its meaning for its existence, the higher calling. I do not think all wealth of the world may give that peace and serenity to the soul, which a soul may derive by fulfilling one's purpose of life.

Every life is a journey with various milestones, as our life progresses we go through different phases of life, struggles, achievements, setbacks etc. In the journey we stumble upon a lot of materialistic gains & losses, some people fail to get up and continue the journey of life. Very few can consistently march on to the journey without being attached to the gains or losses they made. These are the people who live a fulfilling life.

The natural question arises How to find our purpose in life. In my view, we need to find out the following to find our purpose

1. Find our strength area: Where our maximum talent lies. Our natural strength areas are in the area of our purpose in life.
2. Find out our core values: These can be great pointers towards our purpose of life.
3. What we find most rewarding: There are certain work or task when we perform we get maximum inner satisfaction. Returns do not matter here.

Above 3 points will give us our perspective of life, which if we can achieve we will be really peaceful on the deathbed. I know it's easier said than done. It will take a lot of intention and reflection. It will take a massive effort from our side as hindrances will be humongous, cost be paid would be much higher than we would be expecting, setbacks will be more often than we would be ready for. That is why very few are peaceful at the deathbed.

These are the perspective worth dying for also these are the very perspective worth living for as well as they really give us all the strength required to achieve and live a life many may only dream for.
