The COVID Effect

With a difference in the year, masks became a basic necessity. Suddenly the market was full of masks. Most Amazon sellers came up with creative design ideas for masks and innovative styles to make it more comfortable putting it on. 

As you can see from the statistics, there have been over 1.8 million searches for masks alone in the month of January. With the skyrocketed search and sales, undoubtedly, we can say that Amazon has grown in the pandemic. 

Hand Sanitizers

Hand Sanitizers and Face masks are more of complementary products rather than supplementary goods. Face masks and hand sanitizers have clearly got exponential sales on Amazon this year, in the wake of COVID-19. 

Brands came out in the forefront with packaging and variants which sold like hotcakes. Bundles of different variants became popular with massive traffic looking for sanitizers, killing 99.99% of germs. 

Face Shields

Face Shields didn't experience a search volume or sales as much as face masks and hand sanitizers, however, there has been a significant rise in its sales. With the global pandemic taking center stage, face shields were more stylish options to masks. Some people also wanted to be extra careful and depended on both face shields and masks to keep them safe during the outbreak of COVID-19.

As the world went under lockdown, people had to work from home. Especially in the last quarter of 2020, there was a dramatic increase in demand for desks, office chairs, desk accessories, and HDMI cables. 

Gym Equipment 

Apart from office furniture, the sales of gym equipment shot up amongst gym enthusiasts. Across the board, searches for a treadmill, skipping ropes, dumbbells, and adjustable dumbbells. All of these items experienced four times more traffic in 2020 compared to the pre-COVID years. 

The Ring Light 

One accessory that has become famous amongst photographers and content creators is the ring light. It became a must-have item for TikTokers. There were over 1.6 million searches for the product in different variations. The ring light with stand is one such variation that took a leap in April 2020, and its demand continues to rise.
