What Recruitment Software Do We Really Need?
Hello, fellow Recruiter-lifers and professional LinkedIn stalkers. Welcome to another edition of The Recruiter Life Chronicles, where we peel back the layers of the recruitment onion and serve it up with a side of banter. This week, we're diving headfirst into the chaotic abyss that is recruitment software.
What Recruitment Software Do We Really Need?
Ah, the ultimate question! It's right up there with "What's the meaning of life?" and "Why does my boss hate me?" In the recruitment world, software can be both your best mate and the office annoyance. But fear not, dear reader, for we have traversed the digital landscape to bring you the definitive list of must-have tools. Let's cut through the nonsense and get to the good stuff.
Bullhorn - This is your bread and butter, the Robin to your Batman. Without a solid ATS, you'd be swimming in a sea of CVs, desperately trying to stay afloat. Bullhorn keeps everything tidy and makes you look like you actually know what you're doing.
LinkedIn Recuiter - Let's be honest, LinkedIn is the recruitment equivalent of the Hogwarts library. LinkedIn Recruiter is your wand, allowing you to cast spells that reveal hidden talent. Just don’t get caught stalking your ex on there.
Zoom - The pandemic might be over, but Zoom is here to stay. Perfect for those days when putting on trousers feels like a chore. Just remember to turn off the cat filter unless you want to go viral for all the wrong reasons.
Indeed - It's the digital equivalent of shouting from the rooftops. Post a job on Indeed, and watch the applications flood in. Well, at least trickle in, unless you’re hiring for the next James Bond.
Calendly - Stop playing email ping-pong and get your candidates to book their own interview slots. Calendly is the answer to your “when are you free?” woes. It's like having a PA, minus the passive-aggressive post-it notes.

Xero - Because paying people on time is kind of important. Xero makes payroll a breeze, so you can avoid those awkward "Where’s my money?" phone calls.
Slack - For when you need to send a quick message, share a meme, or organise a last-minute Zoom pub quiz. Slack is the water cooler of the digital age, minus the weird smells.
Trello - Keep track of your recruitment process with Trello. It’s like having a super organised, slightly OCD friend who always knows what’s going on. Think of Baby Reindeer.
So there you have it, the crème de la crème of recruitment software. Armed with these tools, you'll be more organised than a Marie Kondo-ed sock drawer. Until next time, keep calm and carry on recruiting!
Cheers,
The Recruiter Life Team

8 个月If you have Bullhorn, you dont need Trello; Bullhorn was created to track your recruitment process. No need to have software for software sake. Indeed is not software. Its a paid job advertising system, and the platform has been shafting recruiters for years on prices and has launched a service to be in direct competition with them. Indeed is coming for recruiters, best switch your job posting to www.recruitzy.co.uk which was created specifically to protect recruiters. Slack, really, who the feck has a slack account? Accept IT nerds like me, candidates use WhatsApp. You forgot websites. As Bullhorn is your recommended ATS/CRM, then www.recruiterweb.co.uk has been integrated with them for 20 years, and for 20 years, we have been the highest-featured, lowest-cost dedicated recruitment website vendor :) And no software list for Recruiters would be complete without Paiger Darren Westall Rohit Kapoor
