What Recruiters/TAs Do?

What Recruiters/TAs Do?

There is a lot of buzz about what exactly Recruiters/TAs do in their role. As we all know, they wear many hats and one of them is to be a #TalentAdvocate.

In my 10 years of Recruiting/Talent Acquisition experience, the below-mentioned scenarios have happened, and they were mainly caused by the Recruiting Manager/Sales Leaders:

1.?????A novice in the field cannot be serious about the work.

2.?????A girl cannot be a receptionist because she wears a hijab.

3.?????A man aged 55 cannot work hard.

4.?????An internationally trained person cannot hit the ground from the get-go.

5.?????A Ph.D. holder cannot do an entry-level job.

6.?????People from India will spend time talking and will not finish the work.

7.?????An Arabic or Urdu-named person will have a heavy accent.

8.?????Someone with an Indian name cannot be a US citizen.

9.?????Chinese people do not speak good English.

10.??Dhara, you cannot be a successful recruiter if you will be transparent with job applicants. Ouch!!

The list goes on …

The good news is that each of the candidates related to the above-mentioned scenario proved themselves and worked out well for their respective roles.

Job Applicants are presented, promoted, and advocated by recruiters and talent professionals. It is one of the crucial and core aspects of any requisition.

They are not only selling the job to the candidates but also selling the candidates for the job.

Recruiters/TAs might not be the decision-makers, but they could be your blessings in disguise.

Now you know, who does what!!
