What really stops us to share?

What really stops us to share?

Hello :)

I hope this message finds you well.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible response I've received over the past two months since I began sharing more of my insights here on LinkedIn.

It's been heartwarming to connect with so many of you who have shown interest in my journey, especially those who have discovered my published books on Amazon.

Reflecting on the numerous messages I've received, a common theme emerges: many of you express a desire to share more on LinkedIn but struggle with feelings of shyness, readiness, or uncertainty about how your content will be received.

Finding Your Why

I've come to realize the importance of identifying your "why."

Why do you want to share your voice with others?

If your motivation is rooted in a purpose beyond personal gain, such as educating and helping others, you'll find that people are drawn to your authenticity and sincerity.

Overcoming Challenges

Of course, it's not always easy to overcome the obstacles that stand in our way.

Ego, fear of judgment, and fear of the unknown can all pose significant challenges.

Speaking from my own experience, I've grappled with my own ego and moments of self-doubt. However, I've learned that these feelings need not define us, and with time and practice, they diminish in significance.

Imposter Syndrome and Beyond

One significant barrier many face is imposter syndrome – the belief that we are not good enough. I recently explored this topic with ChatGPT, and the resulting conversation shed light on the collective sentiment shared by many. I encourage you to take a moment to review the insightful comments and interactions on this post.

Taking the First Steps

So, how do we begin?

I suggest starting small – perhaps by posting once a week if daily sharing feels daunting.

Be authentic in your content, focusing on providing value to your audience. Engage with others, building meaningful relationships through likes, comments, and shares. And above all, practice consistency, making sharing a regular part of your routine.

Remember, your voice matters, and your unique perspective has the power to inspire and resonate with others. Let's embark on this journey together, one post at a time.

My take:

Building a personal brand on LinkedIn is essential for establishing your professional identity, enhancing your credibility, expanding your network, and unlocking new opportunities for career advancement and growth. It's an investment in your professional future that can yield significant returns over time.

On a personal note:

I am doing well and traveling for the next 2 weeks.

This is what my audible library looks like because there was a request by someone to share the list of books that I read.

This is a much-needed conversation. The fear of being vulnerable often holds us back in so many ways.

Well said! It's often easier to hide behind our successes, but sharing our failures makes us more relatable.

I believe embracing vulnerability can transform not only personal relationships but professional ones too.
