What Are The REAL KPIs For Your Business?

Most companies, teams, and organizations set KPIs to assess the "Key Performance Indicators" for their desired goals and success. These are the things that tell them what specific things will help them achieve bigger overall specific things. You can create a KPI around marketing, sales, financials, etc. but the fact is there is ONE THING that really determines a company's, a team's, or an organization's goal achievement and success.


The greatest measure of our success is our PEOPLE.


So, I am posing a question to all of you today: If our people are our greatest measure of success, why are we not creating our KPIs around them?


I've been talking about Productive Flow for years now... Emotion - Energy - Time - Focus.


So what are the key performance indicators for your people? It's their productive flow. It's their emotional state, their energetic state, how they utilize their time, and what their focus is.


Let me break that down for you:


Emotion

  • What is their level of emotional maturity?
  • What is their level of emotional intelligence?
  • What is their degree of emotional health?
  • Do they maintain emotional balance?
  • Have they released the toxic emotional experiences of their past?
  • Do they have restorative relationships in their life?
  • Do they have physical and emotional safety?


Energy

  • Is their nervous system regulated?
  • Do they consistently exercise and move their body?
  • Do they strength train?
  • Do they eat a diet of mostly whole foods?
  • Have they removed inflammatory items from their diet?
  • Are their chakra systems in balance?
  • Do they meditate consistently?
  • Do they take quality supplements for what has been depleted in their body?
  • Do they keep themselves well hydrated?
  • Does their income exceed their needs?


Time

  • Is their time spent well-balanced?
  • Do they spend their time in a state of joy?
  • Do they take time for personal space throughout their day?
  • Do they spend time in a variety of activities and tasks?
  • Is their time spent well and managed well on a consistent basis?
  • Is their time spent in areas that hold personal value to them?
  • Is their time spent in activities that align with their personal strengths?


Focus

  • Do the goals of the team, organization, and/or company feel inspirational and motivational to them?
  • Do they feel they are contributing in an inspirational way?
  • Are they having regular experiences that feel uplifting to them?
  • Do they have consistent opportunities to grow and expand?
  • Are the goals of the team, organization, and/or company tied to a mutual belief they share?


Those are the REAL KPIs.


When you hire the right people (who's personal values align with your mission), take care of those people, and focus your efforts on ensuring their healthy and balanced emotions, energy, time, and focus as outlined above, your success is assured because those people will do everything they can to achieve your mission because your mission is their mission and you've ensured their ability to achieve absolutely anything they put their focus upon.
