What question do you have about Oracle Database Cloud Services?
Hello, my name is Sinan. I’m Solution Engineer at Oracle, very passionate about Oracle Database and Cloud technologies, so I focus on Oracle Database Cloud solutions. I support our customers to move their databases to Oracle Cloud and benefit from the many features and capabilities of the Cloud.
Very often, I get questions from customers and colleagues and answer them. Just a few days or weeks later, I get the same question again. I start to search for my emails, chat groups, and several files here and there. It’s for sure much more efficient to link to a short blog that is easy to find and share. This is the main idea behind starting this series of short blogs dealing with common questions regarding Oracle Database Cloud Services topics.
Questions about Oracle Database Cloud offering
Eventually, most of the workloads will move to the Cloud or Cloud@Customer. So make yourself familiar with the new technologies and opportunities the cloud offers. Better sooner than later. If you have any questions, please just put them in a comment or send me a private message.
Questions about Oracle Database in general
Well, the Oracle Database exists for more than 40 years now. It’s even older than me. And I’m not the youngest anymore. There are already TONS of articles and blogs about almost everything and every topic. But! If you don’t find an answer that completely satisfies you, you’re very welcome to raise that question as well. In the end, it’s the same Oracle Database on-premise and in the cloud.
What kind of questions are we talking about?
Honestly, ask everything that comes into your mind regarding the Oracle Database (Cloud Service). But keep in mind that I’ll not be able to reply to particular cases like “we have a performance issue…” etc. Simple questions that can be answered in one sentence will receive a direct reply. All others that are candidates for a short blog, and I hope you have many of them, will enter the “coming soon” queue. Not necessarily the end of it ;-)
