GOALS - OBJECTIVES - TARGETS
We all have it, right? At least, we struggle to chalk it out for our life. Without any goal in mind, our journey is directionless. Most of us who are goal-oriented train our minds to plan, act and celebrate. That is the pattern, we choose our destination, craft our road-map and look forward to touch the finish line!
But, for many out there the pattern is interrupted. Sometimes at the planning and other times it hauls at the action stage, the journey turns out to be never ending since the last stage never see the ray of dawn.
The reason is....
There is an important question left unanswered at the beginning of goal-setting due to which people remain clueless about their unfinished targets, despite hard-work they intend to put in.
What kind of person will I have to become to get all I want?
- Jim Rohn
There are different categories of goals including financial, professional and personal which we all must design for ourselves. However, the essential thought that must be taken into account is what is required to become in order to work towards those targets.
Five Key Traits That Lead You To Finish Line No Matter How Challenging They Are
- Being Appreciative of Yourself
Look at yourself in the mirror and believe that you are a gift of nature. You have the potential to discover more and more of you because this universe is limitless. I repeat, you have to discover yourself, explore the unique gifts hidden inside of you and serve to make this world a better place to live. The attribute of acknowledging the opportunity to raise your standards at every milestone helps you to never give up. The route to accomplish your desired goals may not be easy but learning to give a pat at the back even when you fall at times is a pull factor for you to do better!
2. Being Responsible of Your Decisions
Just like the goals, that you dream of, are yours, be accountable for the choices you make in life. Successful people are seldom heard blaming the circumstances or other people around. Take charge of your decisions and become excited to explore what lies ahead. The value of responsibility inculcates decisiveness and rationalization. You become more wiser as you reflect on your not-so-great decisions that lead you to chalk out better ways of doing things taking you more closer to your goals. Take ownership of your life!
3. Being Consistent
The only trait that differentiates a winner from a loser is discipline. Whatever your goal is, losing pounds from your body mass, driving Ferrari, speaking in front of a huge audience etc., continual practice and repetitive effort is the key. The art of discipline aligns your energy with goals, that means, whatever energy you hold within yourself is invested in the right measure to create the form of output you desire. Be consistent in doing things till you reach the auto pilot mode!
4. Being Fulfilling
Aim for fulfillment and let go perfectionism. The key difference between the two is, former leaves you with the feeling of progress even when the result may not be the same as initially expected while the latter makes you feel lost no matter how far you have reached. Fulfilling feeling comes when you realize that every step taken towards your dream made you a better version of yourself, increasing your motivation and confidence. Becoming fulfilling makes you visionary and takes you closer to your finish line!
5. Being an Auditor of Your Life
The system you operate in, requires parameters, both for mental and physical health. Become the auditor to set boundaries for what you allow and/or disregard in life. Be it relationships, environments or habits, a regular health check is essential to assess what is seeping in your system is productive or toxic. It keeps you intact with your goals as you track your inputs and declutter, if need be!
What are you becoming in order to earn what you want in life!

4 年Quotes for sale, by me! AKA Verbal Swag, you may call me Verbal. Inspired by LinkedIn drivel, written by the Rich to placate the Poor. The quote said keep dreaming. I replied... IF YOU WANNA DREAM GO TO SLEEP, HERE IS WHERE YOU LOSE SLEEP DREAMING! PS, I’m kooking to write, to create content that’s real, relatable, a bit sarcastic, always a dash of levity to smooth the sarcasm. I’m really a nice guy, emphatic to a fault. Don't look at my profile, cause I have no experience. I’ve been welding I-Beams on skyscrapers all my life. Welding I-Beams means nothing unless one is holding you up right now. Let me add this; I write better than I weld. Have a nice day. Creator of Real
