What qualities make a good manager?
My main goal in writing Forbes Edge each week is to provide tools to help you grow in your career and find success. Your manager should have a similar objective, helping you develop new skills while challenging and inspiring you to accomplish things you didn’t think you could before.
In his recent story for Forbes, senior contributor Mark Murphy breaks down three qualities that make a good manager , and each of these traits is associated with making employees better at their jobs and helping them to advance in their careers.?
This is just the tip of the iceberg to Mark Murphy’s excellent story, which includes advice on how to spot these qualities in a manager during the interview process and what to do if you realize that you’re working for a manager who lacks these abilities. I highly recommend giving the full story a read below.

4 个月Not sure why we still use the term ‘manager’ interchangeable with ‘leader’ when there is a distinct difference. Today’s high velocity and often very chaotic business world demands the best in high impact leadership at many if not all levels, less and less on ‘managing’ people. If your business has a focus on managing employees, you are losing ground today.
