What is a Public Insurance Adjuster?

A Public Adjuster is a licensed insurance professional that specializes in managing every aspect of an insurance claim on behalf of a policyholder. A Public Adjuster is hired by the insured to advocate in support of the policyholders interests exclusively. Public Adjusters are experts on property loss or damage and are hired by the policyholders of residential and commercial properties. Their services include but are not limited to; Policy review, estimates, expert reporting, and negotiating on behalf of the insured. Public Adjusters use their expertise and knowledge of the insurance business, insurance policies, and insurance claims process to maximize the compensation received by the insured given the specific endorsements or coverage's of the particular policy in place. Public Adjusters are not only trained to assist in getting a settlement but to look out for and document damages that may not be obvious; ultimately maximizing the recovery. Most importantly they ensure that a claim is properly handled and approved by the insurance carrier. 

 A Public Adjuster inspects the loss immediately and performs the following tasks:

-Reviews the insurance policy to determine coverage

-Analyzes damages

-Assembles claim support data

-Determines current replacement costs

-Presents the claim and relevant documentation to the carrier representative

-Exclusively serves the policyholder/insured and not the insurance company
