There are four to note in the use of FPC membrane keypad switches
FPC membrane switch panels(Copper flexible circuit board Membrane Switch) can be produced using polyester or polyimide (Kapton) as the?base material,depending on your interface requirements. A very thin sheet of copper is laminated to the flexible film substrate then?chemically etched away, leaving copper traces.?
There are four to note in the use of FPC membrane keypad switches:
1. The FPC membrane keypad switch will be surface coated, which can effectively prevent oxidation. When storing, there are certain requirements for the environment. The temperature is controlled below 25℃, and the humidity is controlled within 50%-70%.
2. The FPC membrane keypad has strong anti-folding ability, but the exposed part of the wire is not suitable for bending, nor can it be?bent directly on the through hole. During the assembly process, the FPC ink-type protective layer is strictly prohibited to be bent over?90°C, and even more strictly prohibited to be bent to 180°C, which may cause problems such as wire breakage.
3. FPC membrane keyboard switch, such as cover film, golden finger (contact position), etc. Circuit breakage is easy to occur during?assembly, so special attention should be paid when using it.
4. If there are welding components in the FPC circuit, pay attention to the welding strength, because the surface of the FPC circuit is?made of a very thin copper film, which is easy to break.
