What is the pre-seed stage?

The pre-seed stage is the phase where you have an idea for a product or service that solves a problem or meets a need in the market. You have not built a prototype, tested your assumptions, or validated your product-market fit. You need to do these things before you can move to the next stage, the seed stage. The pre-seed stage is also where you start looking for angel investors, who are wealthy individuals or groups that invest in early-stage startups.
