Many clients are wonder how many real watt a solar tube will has? 20W or 50W? No, it is 100W. Really? yes. Below will show you.
This is the calculation on the blackboard.
This is our solar cell, its size is 145mm * 125mm. (0.145cm*0.125cm)
A cylinder solar tube has 28 cells, so total its acreage is 0.145*0.125*28=0.5㎡
The solar radiation rate is 1000W/㎡,the solar tube conversion rate is 20%, so its power is 0.5㎡*1000W/㎡*20%=100W.
Okay, if you say during working the real operation rate is only 70%, so a solar tube power still has 100W*70%=70W.
So if it works 6 hours at night, so the total power is 70W*6hr=420WH.
If you use two solar tubes for a LED street light, so two tubes you can get 420WH*2=840WH.
Now the standard size of the soar tube is H100cm*diameter 20cm, but we can make it a bit long to 120cm, such to make its power to 120W. so 2pcs solar tube can be 120W*70%*6hr*2=1008WH.
1000WH = one kilowatt-hour (one degree electricity). So here 2pcs solar tube can generate one degree electricity at one night, one year is 365 kilowatt hours.
Next article will show the comparison with normal flat solar panel.
