By the way, if no one has told you lately:
You are doing a freaking GREAT job!
Really, you are. What we have lived through in the past couple of years has been crazy. The fact that we keep showing up and putting a smile on our faces and going for it is reason enough to celebrate. If no one has told you I want you to know that you should be proud!
Now, back to our regular programming.
As I mentioned in the subject line, what is possible for us is always changing. That has never been more true. As frustrating as it can be to have live events moved to virtual, there is also the possibility to do more than one event in a day which never used to be the case. Challenging myself today to focus on what I can be grateful for instead of what I am frustrated about.
What are you grateful for today?
I am sure like me you were hoping that 2022 would be rainbows and unicorns and while there is plenty to be grateful for there are still some challenges.
Here's what I know: there will always be challenges and adversity for each of us to face. The key is take the adversity head on and use my BAK process to overcome it seamlessly. Yes, I still use my BAK process too!
The first step is distilling the limiting belief we have in our mind down to only what is factual. Often times you will find that your belief holds no fact at all and you are left with the bad story you have been telling yourself. Do you feel me on this one?
Time to drop that story and move to step 2: TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY!
This is where people get held up. Take an action step - it doesn't have to be something huge it can be asking for help or following up on something but no matter what it is - take action now.
The 3rd step is to surround yourself with helpful knowledge. That means accessing a podcast from someone who has been where you want to go. That also means NOT asking those who haven't been where you want to go for directions. Be mindful of where you are getting your advice and remember that there are countless TED talks and podcasts available to you free of charge. And yes, those hot links take you to my TED talk and my podcast :)
Never take direction from someone who has't been where you are going.
As we kick off this year, I wanted to remind you how powerful ratings and reviews are for you and your business. If you haven't asked your clients aka raving fans to leave a review or testimonial for you yet, today is the day.
And no, I will not accept this response: I don't want to bother them.

It is not up to us to decide for another person what is a bother or not. Let's entrust that they can decide for themselves and let us know. If it is a bother for them then we can say "no problem!"
If they are excited to help then we can say "thank you!" We live in a review and rating world and those reviews hold more power than what we say about our own products or services. I am always asking people that message me to tell me that they love my new book Overcome Your Villains if they can please leave a review on amazon as it really helps! Very rarely does someone say, I am just too busy to do it. Usually they say, "I would be happy to do it!" Don't deny someone else the potential joy they could find in spreading the word about you or your product. Let them decide.
I woke up to a few new reviews that I wanted to share with you from Overcome Your Villains :
Do you see how someone else's feedback is more powerful than our own? The end user of your product is going to position things in a unique way that may connect differently with your audience depending on their circumstances.
This one was really special. One of my amazing community members sent me a DM last year asking if I would autograph books for his family for Christmas. He sent me a box of books with a pre-paid shipping sticker to get them back before the holiday. He made it so easy for me to do. I autographed the books and I wrote on the last page:
If you loved the book please leave a review HERE! and she did. You never know what will happen if you don't ask, so ASK! Most people like to help.
If you have read my book and could leave a review, I would so appreciate it! here is the link to leave a Review and thank you!!
Keep up the good work, we are going to make this our best year yet!
