Colonizing Mars is a very fascinating subject to discuss. There is so much curiosity among people to know more about the topic. Even the scientists are curious to start exploring the Red Planet!
Besides, there are many benefits that can be achieved if colonization of Mars is successful, such as, the potential for humans to provide more in-depth observational research than unmanned rovers, an economic interest in its resources, and the possibility that the settlement on other planets could decrease the likelihood of human extinction.
This year, humanity has completed 20 years of continuous occupation of the International Space Station (ISS) which gave us a better understanding of space and its many challenges, paving the way for the next steps in space colonization.
Many big names like NASA, SpaceX, and ESA are making huge efforts to develop projects to populate the red planet. Indeed, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk founded his company in 2002 with the ambition of colonizing Mars, since he was baffled that NASA wasn't accomplishing more to get individuals to the red planet and worried that a reinforcement plan for mankind wasn't being created.
MARS Hostile Environment
Mars is a cold, unforgiving, and practically almost airless planet located around 140 million miles from Earth. The planet is in many regards a horrible environment for life as we probably are aware of
? Winter temperatures can plunge beneath – 100 degrees Celsius,
? The air contains just a little bit of oxygen,
? Without the advantage of a strong ozone layer, the Martian surface is shelled with bright (UV) sun-oriented radiation.
Bewildering inventiveness is required to land even a small shuttle there, not to mention a monster spaceship loaded with individuals and freight.
Not All Is Lost, There are Plans to Colonize & Live on Mars
There is proof of water on Mars' soil and air, and space travelers might have the option to extract it. Its air is CO2 with some nitrogen and argon and a couple of other minor components, which implies that we can develop plants on Mars just by packing the air.
Gravity on Mars is about 38% of that of Earth, so there will be an option to lift overwhelming things and bound around. Besides, the day is astoundingly near to that of Earth.
Furthermore, the rocket will be designed as special environments that can give warm temperatures and breathable air, thus making the Mars habitat liveable.
? SpaceX Project- Sending Humans to Mars
The arrangement to colonize Mars spins around an enormous rocket codenamed Starship, which consists of a spaceship conveying up to 100 individuals into space before coming back to the platform for an upstanding landing. The rocket at that point takes off again conveying a new heap of fuel for vehicle transport. Next, the pioneers leave for Mars. During landing, 99 percent of the vehicle's energy will be shed by trawling through Mars' climate, before the last landing burn settles the vehicle onto the Martian surface.
? NASA Mission- Moon to Mars
NASA's human lunar investigation plans under the Artemis program call for sending the first lady and next man to the outside of the Moon by 2024 and building up the practical investigation before the decade's over. The organization will utilize what they apprehend on the Moon to get equipped for humankind's next goliath jump – sending space explorers to Mars.
The arrangement to colonize Mars sounds truly flawless on paper, however, it isn't without its misfortunes. What's more, since it's such a monstrous venture, it will undoubtedly have unexpected barriers that could stop or seriously defer the arrangement. But regardless, having a point by point technique is a push towards the right direction, and is better than sitting around, longing for Martian life.
Pretty challenging!

4 年I am skeptical about the colonization of Mars because it is such a difficult and time-consuming task that in my opinion even Musk himself does not understand all the difficulties. The level of terrestrial technology is not the same now. Rather, the creation of a colony is possible, but so that the people of this colony are guaranteed to be able to survive there - this is unlikely to work. What can really be done is to get to Mars. To send an expedition and return it to Earth. This is a very real and solvable task.

4 年The interesting part is that Starship is filled with Methane which is abundant on Mars, it is a really smart move.
