All the power in the smartphone world won’t get you very far without a good battery to back it up. After all, you need to turn on the lights to use those advanced cameras and premium processors. If you are ready to upgrade to a newer, more powerful device, we are here to help. Here are the phones with the longest battery life.
With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of the best smartphones that offer long battery life. However, it’s worth noting that these phones don’t have the same stellar specs or cameras as you’d find on an iPhone.
Instead, they’re built to handle tougher conditions and offer much better battery life than the typical flagship model.
What Phone has the Best Battery Life in 2025?
1. OnePlus 12
The OnePlus 12 not only delivers top-notch performance, but it also has the largest and fastest-charging battery of any flagship. The massive 5,400mAh battery can charge at up to 80W via wired charging or 50W wirelessly. And unlike some past OnePlus models, this phone supports LTE and 5G on most carriers.
Even though all-day battery life is becoming the norm for flagships, the OnePlus 12 stands out thanks to its super-fast charging speeds. Not only will you easily make it to bedtime without needing to recharge its 5,400mAh battery, but when you’re ready to plug it in, the included 80W charger will charge the phone in record time.
The phone also supports up to 100W wired charging with the right adapter, and 50W wireless charging with the right pad.
In addition to its battery life, the OnePlus 12 is a great high-end Android option, with a speedy Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC powering Android 14. You get 256GB or 512GB of fast UFS 4.0 storage, along with 12GB and 16GB of RAM respectively.
There’s a 6.82-inch 120Hz AMOLED that’s bright enough to see outdoors in sunlight. OnePlus has also promised four major Android updates along with five years of security updates, so you can be confident that your phone will be supported for as long as you keep using it.
The camera system produces great images without being overly processing-intensive. There’s a 50MP main sensor for the main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 64MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
USB-C 3.2 speeds are also supported, so if you want to shoot 4K video, you won’t have to wait too long to transfer it to your PC. As for carriers, this phone works on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon networks, which support 5G, so you can carry it on just about any carrier.
2. Google Pixel 9 Pro XL
After enduring the AI-only extravaganza that is Google I/O, I expected the Big G to deliver some new and exciting hardware. In fact, I almost begged for it. Well, it delivered. This is what former AP editor-in-chief (and now boss’s boss) Daniel Bader calls the first mature Pixel phone he can recommend without hesitation.
That’s pretty high praise, and it’s certainly deserved. The Pixel has had a bit of a history of overheating and efficiency issues, but the Tensor G4 system-on-chip inside the Pixel 9 Pro XL makes just the right improvements to squeeze an impressive amount of screen-on time out of this full-size slab phone.
For example, the Pro XL doesn’t quite match the borderline oversized capacity or insane charging speeds of the similarly sized OnePlus 12, but it’s not meant to.
Rather, Google’s well-tailored interface and versatile, feature-packed software suite are designed to appeal to the masses, letting you capture perfect stills and videos at the touch of a button, and easily create magical edits with just a few taps.
Breaking away with the typical rhetoric that “there’s no such thing as a perfect phone,” the Pro XL (and the smaller Pixel 9 Pro) are as close to perfect in terms of design as any phone we’ve reviewed.
The newly flattened edges, premium metal frame, matte glass back, and redesigned, almost industrial-inspired camera visor make this one of Google’s best-looking devices to date.
Of course, you can expect to continue using Google’s latest cutting-edge software tricks as they become available. These benefits aren’t always bug-free, but as the software giant gets better at massive feature drops, the consistency is improving somewhat.
3. Oukitel WP33 Pro
The Oukitel WP33 Pro is not as big as you might expect for a phone that promises weeks, not hours, of battery life. The rest of the package doesn’t lag behind either. Fortunately, Oukitel has included a strap built into the phone to make it easier to carry around the hefty phone with its 22,000mAh battery. It weighs 557g.
If battery life is all that matters, you’re in the right place. The Oukitel WP33 is a seriously impressive phone with a massive 22,000mAh battery. Battery life here is measured in days, and you can absolutely expect a week of use. With a battery that rivals a dedicated powerbank, it’s no surprise that this phone can also double as a powerbank.
The rest of the package isn’t too shabby either. The Oukitel WP33 Pro has a fairly solid build and even includes a built-in strap. The MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset powers the show. It’s more than good enough for everyday use, and there are a few games to boot. The software isn’t that great, though.
The default skin doesn’t have an app drawer. Don’t expect much in the way of software updates. Likewise, the camera performance is pretty shabby. The 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor can certainly carry the weight, but taking great photos is just as important as the software. The Oukitel doesn’t have any.
The Oukitel is the perfect phone for the right person. Maybe you spend a lot of time outdoors without being connected to a power source, or you just want the convenience of charging your phone once a week. If you know what you’re buying, the Oukitel WP33 Pro is not only best-in-class, but it also offers exceptional battery life.
4. Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra
At this point, it would be surprising if Asus didn't produce a phone that lasts a long time. The Zenfone 11 Ultra joins the last two ROG phones in our battery life rankings. In the case of the Zenfone 11 Ultra, the phone lasted nearly 18 hours in our battery test with its 6.78-inch display set to automatic refresh rate.
What's even better is that the appeal of the Zenfone 11 Ultra goes beyond durability and gaming, as Asus has equipped this phone with a particularly bright and colorful display.
While we appreciate how the 6-axis gimbal helps stabilize the phone’s 50MP main camera, we also wish the photo processing was a bit more refined. You can also enjoy 65W wired charging, but you’ll need to bring your own charger to make the most of this feature.
5. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
Meet the longest-lasting flagship we’ve ever tested. The Galaxy S24 Ultra falls just 15 minutes short of the 17-hour mark, lasting almost an hour longer than last year’s Motorola flagship.
The S24 Ultra’s performance is also 2.5 hours better than Apple’s latest flagship, which is also not far behind in terms of long-lasting battery life.
Samsung didn’t increase the battery size of?Galaxy S24 Ultrathe . It remains at 5,000 mAh. So the phone’s outstanding efficiency is thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
It’s also worth noting that this time was achieved with the S24 Ultra’s adaptive refresh rate turned on, which means the Qualcomm chipset is handling the power well.
Charging speed remains at 45W, but we were able to charge 71% after 30 minutes using a 45W USB-C charger. Samsung doesn’t include this charger with the phone, so if you want the fastest charging speed, you’ll need to buy this accessory yourself.
6. Motorola Razr 2024
Foldable phones don’t last as long on a single charge. They have twice as many screens to keep them powered as conventional phones. So it came as a surprise that Motorola’s two latest foldables are among the longest-lasting phones we’ve tested in the past year and a half.
The cheaper Motorola Razr (2024) did better in our tests, clocking in at 14 hours, 37 minutes.
There’s a clue in the Razr’s numbers: It’s achieved by setting the refresh rate on the Razr’s 6.9-inch display to 60Hz. The phone can also boost the refresh rate to 120Hz, so battery life might not be as good with that feature enabled.
Still, for a $699 foldable, that’s an impressive result. You might be making some compromises for the lower price, but battery life isn’t something to compromise on.
7. OnePlus Open
OnePlus took a while to release its first foldable, but the company hasn’t skimped on the specs. The OnePlus Open has a great screen, high-end internals, and a great camera.
And for a foldable, it’s got a big 4,805mAh battery that’ll easily get you through a full day. Add in a fantastic design, and you’ve got a great competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup.
OnePlus took a while to release its first foldable, but the OnePlus Open is one of our favorite foldables of 2023. And its balanced approach to hardware and software makes it a great choice.
Not only that, but the OnePlus Open packs a massive 4,800mAh battery that’ll get you through a full day. And when it’s time to charge the phone, 67W charging support comes into the clutch.
Of course, battery life is only one aspect. The OnePlus Open knocks it out of the park with high-end specs like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. In fact, in our review, we found it to be quite good. What’s more exciting is the software, not the hardware. OnePlus’ Oxygen OS, with its novel approach to multitasking, is a joy to use.

Don’t forget about the camera. The triple-camera setup delivers great results in most lighting conditions. You can read our OnePlus Open review for more on the camera, but overall, the Open can comfortably stand up to the best foldables and many other smartphones.
OnePlus has put an interesting spin on the telephoto sensor. Featuring a 64MP resolution sensor, the camera is capable of up to 3x optical zoom, and can zoom in up to 6x with minimal loss of detail in bright light. The results speak for themselves. The OnePlus is still one of the best foldables on the market.
8. Nothing Phone 2a
With a 5,000mAh battery and MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset, Nothing's latest budget phone managed an impressive 15 hours in our battery test. That's achieved with the display refresh rate turned up high, so you don't have to worry about it eating away at your battery life.
Fast charging is a feature you don't usually find on budget phones, but the Nothing Phone 2a can charge at 45W over a wired connection. That's an impressive power management feature set for less than $350. That's if you can get your hands on the Nothing Phone 2a, which is limited in the US.
9. Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max
iPhones aren't usually known for their great battery life. At least not when compared to the best phones with the best battery life. That said, it's not bad, and since we know a lot of people prefer iOS, it's important to add the Apple option.
If you own an Apple smartphone, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the best option for battery life. Unfortunately, it’s also the latest generation of the top-of-the-line iPhone, so it’s pretty expensive. Prices start at $1,200.
Apple claims its flagship can last up to 25 hours of video streaming and up to 95 hours of audio playback. Of course, it’ll do other things too. It won’t charge as quickly as the other phones on this list, either. In terms of charging, Apple promises a 50% charge in 30 minutes using Apple’s 20W charger.
Aside from that, the device is as good as any high-end Apple phone. The screen is gorgeous, the design is excellent, the camera is fantastic, and the performance should be fine.
10. OnePlus 12R
The mid-range OnePlus 12R is the longest-lasting phone that isn't specifically built for gaming. Thanks to its massive 5,500mAh battery, the phone can last all day and even longer on a single charge, but the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset that powers many of the other devices on our best phone battery life list deserves some credit too.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 may be an older chipset, but that's what allows OnePlus to offer the 12R at such a low price, especially in the US. In the US, you can get the $499 model with 128GB of storage, while the OnePlus 12R starts at $599 with 256GB of storage in the rest of the world.
Despite its low price, the OnePlus 12R doesn’t skimp on OnePlus’ trademark fast charging. I charged the phone to 96% in 30 minutes with an 80W wired charger in the US. But don’t expect wireless charging.
11. REDMAGIC 9 Pro
The Redmagic 9 Pro offers a very attractive proposition for both gamers and power users, primarily due to its price. At $649, it’s very close to being a mid-range device, but it comes with some of the most powerful specs available.
The device boasts a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a massive 6,500mAh battery. This phone is pretty good, and if you like gaming looks, it looks great too.
It also comes with an active cooling system that helps prevent thermal throttling. This is useful not only while gaming, but also while charging. The device can charge at up to 80W, which makes it really warm.
Sadly, nubia skipped wireless charging here, but considering the price point, it’s not a huge sacrifice. It’s also one of the best gaming phones out there.
12. Google Pixel 8 Pro
The Google Pixel 8 Pro is an improvement over its predecessor, especially when it comes to battery life. The new Google handset comes with a 5,050 mAh battery. While that’s no longer impressive, the Tensor G3 processor has brought some improvements to battery optimization.
As a result, in our Pixel 8 Pro review, we found that the device could easily last about a day and a half before needing a charge. And even with intensive use, we were able to get the battery level down to 10% after a full day of use.
The Pixel 8 Pro also charges slightly faster, at 30W. It’s not exactly industry-leading, but it’s still much faster than the Pixel 7 Pro’s 23W charging speed.
Other than that, the rest of the phone is pretty good. It offers good performance, great cameras, a great design, and an industry-leading seven-year update promise. And it's also fairly priced at $1,000.
13. Asus Zenfone 10
The Asus Zenfone 10 is the most compact flagship-level smartphone, so we were surprised at how good its battery life was. In our tests, the battery usually lasted around 50% after a full day of use. That’s impressive.
Despite only having had two years of software updates, this phone ticks all the boxes. It’s a great design with a paper-like back finish (as opposed to a slippery glass), premium performance, great cameras, and Asus’s sleek Android.
It’s a phone with a battery life that actually fits in your pocket, and it also has features that most larger phones have abandoned due to space constraints (like the 3.5mm headphone jack). For that reason alone, the Zenfone 10 is worth checking out.
The Zenfone 10 appears to have been replaced by the Zenfone 11 Ultra, which has a much larger design but doesn’t quite live up to the same battery life standards.
14. Samsung Galaxy A15 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A15 focuses on striking the perfect balance, offering good value and performance. For its low price, this phone packs essential features like a Super AMOLED display and a capable Dimensity 6100+ processor.
More importantly, its long-lasting battery life is impressive. If you need a durable phone that fits your budget, the Galaxy A15 is a great choice.
If long battery life is your top priority and everything else is a no-brainer, the Samsung Galaxy A15 is a strong choice. Samsung's latest budget smartphone was designed from the ground up to strike a balance between a reasonable price and sufficient performance for value-conscious consumers.
To that end, it focuses on things like high-quality construction and long battery life, rather than on innovative new cameras and top-notch performance.
That’s not to say the performance is poor. Far from it, the Galaxy A15 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, which makes it easy to handle everyday tasks and even a little gaming.
Along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the Galaxy A15 excels in other ways as well. The 6.5-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED display is vibrant and makes viewing multimedia content a pleasure.
There’s also a built-in headphone jack, which is a rarity these days. Elsewhere, the 50MP primary camera is capable, but the 5MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro cameras are not.
The Samsung Galaxy A15 packs an above-average 5,000mAh battery for its price range. Combined with its frugal processor, it should easily last a day or more.
Lighter users can expect up to two days on a single charge, which alleviates the relatively slow charging. At up to 25W, it falls a notch behind many alternatives. Don’t expect premium features like wireless charging either.
What should I look for when getting a phone that has the Best Battery Life?
When choosing a phone, it’s important to consider what you’re going to use it for and what hardware it offers.
If you’re buying a phone with a larger screen, a high-resolution display, and high peak brightness, these attributes will all have a negative impact on battery life compared to a phone with the same battery size but a smaller or lower panel resolution.
Some phones especially in the mid-range and budget segments offer large batteries and great battery life, but they sacrifice or don’t offer fast charging speeds, making it difficult to charge at other times than overnight.
