What is PechaKucha Night?

The PechaKucha Night (PKN) presentation format was created by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham Architecture in 2003. It was planned as an event for (you guessed it) designers and creative types of all disciplines to meet, network, and showcase their work, and play, in public. PechaKucha Night occurs in hundreds of locations around the world. The San Diego Architectural Foundation (SDAF) is pleased to serve as the official San Diego chapter host of PechaKucha Night.
PechaKucha is derived from a Japanese term meaning the sound of conversation, or chit-chat. PechaKucha Nights are creative, social and informal. The concept is simple: each presenter is allowed 20 images, and each is shown for 20 seconds, giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of floor time and expression before the next presenter is up. It all makes for succinct and stimulating presentations from across the board.?
Attention FIDM Alums & LinkedIn Family in San Diego!!!!!!
