According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention a P100 filter filters at least 99.97% of airborne particles and is strongly resistant to oil. P100 filters do not protect against gases and vapors, such as those in paint spray operations. This would require a chemical cartridge. P100 filters are not suitable for an oxygen deficient atmosphere, or concentrations that exceed 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with a half mask respirator.???
