The data owner and the specific boundaries with which the data owner supports the data and within those scope boundaries made available to the company. The AI and specific usage of AI requires validation by the data owners to ensure usage is only available within the context it was produced, provided to the company and its terms and conditions, collected, a data controller and privacy concerns to prevent data being used that has prior been approved by the data subject which now is being used for alternative measures which require a new approval from the data subject matter.
This process will take some time to clean up data repositories. Assign data owners and controllers together with confidentiality and AI requiring the end user to be least privileged to do their job role AND take their responsibility for the function he/she is recruited to perform.
The additional access rights to companywide available data sources require validation to the usage of a data owner which takes time, but AI is a good initiative to clean up data subject matters, data controller AND data owners within companies. Looking at the experiences from Human Resources on Employee Self Service portals the data ownership and sources to instruct human resources. The calculation and computations made with available data for the production of a payroll statement, benefits premium or pension calculations require significant but most often the details in each step that data is extracted, transformed and loaded to remain as transparant as possible to ensure data validation can take place quick swift and with the required responsibility of every last (penny) or cent.

In such a well-defined process of each step being formulated the introduction of AI still require some Ethics, Code of Conduct, Alignment of Business Core Values and especially the reasonable assurance data is maintained for employees only because there is a legitimate basis to do so and to ensure business operations can function as required by law.

These only within the boundaries of privacy and legal requirements exists to each individual who represents the companies' legal requirements and also the confirmation to the requirements as employer to meet these requirements do not hold data usage that is not clear in its definition.
There is no data that can be collected for the employee or about the employee that employee is very clear about why the employee provided that information for the employment and the employee can be reassured that the private personal information will be used by the company to inform alternative sources only to support the compensation and benefits insurances the employee is entitled to. There are strickt legitimate basis why the employee provides this information to 3th parties, tax authorities, social security office, insurance and pension insurance companies and there is no additional information the employer will collect or maintain that could conflict with the employment between the employee and the data held by the company.
