What options do I have for producing video content?

If you're suffering from "option anxiety" when trying to figure out the best way to create videos for your business, relax.

There are several options for producing videos, and the right choice for you will depend on your goals, budget, and resources.

Let's break 'em down...

#1: In-House Production Team

If you have the resources, you can produce video content in-house. This requires investing in equipment, software, and hiring a team of videographers, editors, writers, and project managers to handle everything from scripting to filming to post-production.

This option gives you more control over the content and can be cost-effective in the long run, but also requires a hefty, ongoing investment.

#2: Freelance Videographer

You can also hire freelance professionals to handle specific aspects of video production, such as filming or editing. This option can be more flexible and cost-effective than hiring an in-house team, but may require more coordination and communication to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Talented (and affordable) freelancers are in high demand, but rarely have the capacity to handle more than a couple projects at any given time.

#3: Video Production Agency

If you want a turnkey solution, you can hire a video production agency to handle everything from creative concept development, scripting, filming to post-production. This option can be more expensive, but can also provide a higher level of quality, expertise, and capacity. Video production agencies often have multiple teams of producers, writers, videographers, editors, motion graphic designers and production managers working on dozens of projects at the same time. Good agencies are also great communicators, provide detailed timelines with milestones, and they don't miss deadlines!

#4 - DIY Production

With the rise of smartphones and affordable video editing software, it's also possible to produce video content on your own. This option can be cost-effective, but most likely won't have the same level of polish or professionalism as other options.

Plus, if you don't have experience with video production, it will be a massive time suck!

Regardless of the option you choose, it's important to remember that video content is a valuable investment in your business. It can help you engage with your audience, build brand awareness, and increase conversions, so it's worth taking the time to do it right.
