What is 'No-Self' ... ?
No-Self could be said to be the realisation of nothingness ... or No-thingness.
No-thingness might sound ... like ... nothing in particular ... nothing of 'note' ...
However, to realise 'No-Self' is to realise the insubstantiality of all things ... Why is this good ... It is likewise, to realise that the minds projections are not reality ... Seeing this ... we can realise reality is a real, thing ... the mind, in some senses is just aiming to 'grasp' at it ... However, when it stops its attempts to grasp ... to relate via the false entity known as the 'ego' ... it experiences the true joy ... the natural joy of our existence ... this joy is beyond compare ... It is the natural state of being alive ... of being life ... it is devoid of negative emotion, oscillations of feelings, ups and downs of inner commentary or patterns of identification ... It is truth minus the range of potential whirrings of sentient-based activity, thought, feeling, volition ... It simply 'is'.
Reality exists in 'is-ness' ... in its pure, transcendental state of being ... Realising 'No-Self' is to see that reality exists beyond our ideas of it ... At the same time 'in our ideas of it' ...

Why is this amazing ... ? It is to realise that whether we are alive or not ... reality 'is' ... thus, as our being is not separate from reality ... We always 'are' ... It is only the subjective interpretations which come 'on and off' ... these are projections! Reality is, as our nature is ...
As Bodhidharma said ... We are and have always been Buddha (!). We just must lose the defilements and errors which stop us from seeing this !
No-Self means ... that no 'object' exists objectively ... Since everything exists only as a projection ... it does not exist really ... this is wonderful because we see ... All is in flux ... All is changing ... constantly ... No-Self shows us that there is no atom, no 'thing', anyway, which is beyond this law of impermanence and which is also linked to all other phenomena in the universe ... So we are freed from the ongoing identification with all things ... We are the being in which all this interplay takes place ... unchanging and with Joy as its nature ! Since everything is always changing ( ... No-Self) ... we can't be that ... thus, we are the joyful, stable being ... in which all these changes take place ... We 'are'.
