Time on My Hands - Got Me Thinking…
Like most of us at home waiting for the lockdown to be over I am doing some thinking and as a recruiter it crossed my mind to consider how things will have changed the other side of lockdown…
It seems to me that employers will have to start by reviewing what work needs to be done to get businesses running smoothly again and what capacity of staff will be required to do it. Could this be the start of a demand for full on recruitment to temporary and contract roles rather than permanent positions?
There will certainly be backlogs to clear and catch up in areas that cannot be totally dealt with from a working from home operation.
On the other hand – what about those in permanent roles who, on reflection, have decided their current job (furloughed or not) is no longer what they want?
I would be interested to know what other people think…

4 年I think it's a tough one to see what the markets going to be like - I do agree that the use of temporary staff will increase as there is bound to be backlogs of invoices in the interim!
