Beneath smiles and eyes that gleam,

Lies an ocean of silent tears, a surging stream.

I ponder, should I unveil it all,

What havoc might it wreak, what truths install?

Betrayed not once, but twice,

By trusted ones, my heart paid the price.

Yet both crumbled beneath the weight of life.

Irony laughs, a bitter jest,

Words and promises, mere shadows at best

For them the emotions were fakeness

Yet here I am, resilient and strong,

A woman who knows she must carry on.

Setting new heights, fueled by self-love.

No embellished words, no ostentatious style,

Just survival, a determined mile.
