When I started on my career journey, there was no clear path for me to follow into the world of negotiation. As a young attorney, I did the best I could to find and cultivate opportunities for education and skill-development in the field, but it wasn’t easy.
The tools of negotiation should be accessible - not only to open doors for a more diverse industry but also to improve our communications on both the mirco and macro levels.
This is why I do the work I do with the American Negotiation Institute and the Negotiate Anything Podcast.
It's also why this conversation with Max was so important.?
Take some time to listen and share your thoughts. We’d love to hear them!

2 年Gems: No clear path, create one if you have the requisite skills. Holding on to information may be a good business model but if you grant access it promotes inclusion. This, in turn, fosters networking which creates channels for more opportunities. Relinquishing control can give you more. Access, therefore, benefits all though it might seem counterintuitive on the surface. Lawyers have spirit animals too. I like that.
