What My Fifth Month at KPMG Taught Me

When I joined KPMG in March, I was excited but also apprehensive about the journey ahead. The competitive environment and ambitious targets made me wonder if I would be able to keep up. At first, I doubted if my journey at KPMG would be a long one.

However, reaching the five-month mark has been a significant milestone for me. This period has given me the motivation to look forward to many more months here. The fifth month, in particular, was a turning point. It was the time to showcase all the skills and knowledge I had acquired so far.

In this month, I achieved two significant closures, proving to myself that I could contribute meaningfully to the company. As the months progress, the challenges increase, but so does my motivation. Working on the HP project, I see firsthand how employees are rewarded for their contributions to revenue generation. This month, many of my colleagues received gifts like branded bags, Apple AirPods, drones, cameras, air fryers, and Nike shoes. These rewards are not just tokens of appreciation but powerful motivators for all of us to strive for excellence.

Observing the successes of my colleagues has been both inspiring and motivating. It has instilled in me a desire to emulate their achievements and become at least half as successful as they are.

As I look forward, I am eager to see how many targets I can achieve and how I can continue to grow at KPMG. I feel happy and blessed to have started my career here, working alongside highly skilled professionals and leaders.

The journey so far has been challenging but incredibly rewarding, and I am excited about what the future holds.
