The year 2021 brought many Nature walks with my dog Bowie. As we hiked, walked on the beach, explored the off beaten paths, she never once left my side and always shared her gratitude for our companionship. I have been reminded of so many valuable nuggets of wisdom being with Bowie. Sharing the symbolism and reflections of our time together as we celebrate a new year.

7.????Stop and Smell the Roses – slow down, sniff, use all the senses besides the mind

8.???Greet with an Open Heart – or a blanket for Bowie as it is her most precious possession

9.????Chew On It – reflect on what matters

10.?Patience – it’s truly a virtue and when practiced, you witness the extraordinary

11.???Zero Waste – if she could, she’d eat anything and everything in site ??

12.??Find Your Tribe and Stay Connected – remain engaged

13.??Protect What You Value – bark, call it out and defend your worth

14.?Be Yourself – play ball, roll over and be adorable

15.??Keep An Eye – be mindful of your surroundings

17.?Sleep Well, Rest Often – the reward of a good night's sleep and relaxation is priceless
