The human body is wonderfully created and a marvel of cooperation. We have bones that hold us up, loads of nerves that provide feedback to our brain which then responds in milliseconds or microseconds to tell an organ to do something. We also have many muscles that allow us to walk down the road, lift an object, and breathe just to name a few.
We go to a gym to work on staying healthy and to recover from accidents or surgery. We focus on a particular area from time to time in accordance with what is needed. If our arms need to be built up, we work on our biceps and our triceps, not our leg muscles. However, when our arms reach a certain level of exercise, we need to focus on other muscle groups to keep the overall balance of our body in place. After all, if the leg muscles are weak, we might have a difficult time carrying objects from the store to the car if our arms are fully utilized.
Our attitude muscles also need exercise. If we notice that our attitude is becoming more and more negative, we need to exercise our positivity muscles.
If we are thinking that the answer to every problem is the same, we should be exercising our curiosity muscle.
If we don't consider the feelings of others, we may need to work on our empathy muscles.
And if we are constantly being disregarded by others, perhaps it is time to exercise that courageousness muscle.
Feeling like fear is running your life? Time to exercise that boldness muscle!
Work on all of your muscles, so that you are a healthy well-balanced person that can respond accordingly when different situations arise.
