Experts tell you it is all about clean language: short and open question with 6-10 words-sometimes just one word. Timing is crucial and the questions the elicit deep inquiry are key.
The other side of the coin is listening with the heart to feel the inquiry in process.
I just had another magic coaching session where one question made the difference for my client. I asked him: "What is keeping you from stepping out there?" There was a long silence in which the client looked deeper into his true self providing his own solution.
8 words made the difference to a powerful shift stepping from the what to the why. Overcoming limiting self-believes holding him back. Was he good enough? Did he provide the desired value to his clients?
We circled around his business proposition and found the barrier was inside himself. When he proposed a solution I knew he did not see it and asked twice: Do you see what you just said? What emerges for you now?
I am deeply touched by these moments when clients suddenly see with this new awareness what they are capable of and being able in activating these resources. In this case going out there, being confident as a coach with a purpose.
This is why I love being a coach uncovering potential and opening perspectives. So the most powerful question is the one that helps my clients to BE their potential.
Do you live your full potential yet? I am happy to help.
