Social Media Should be good for-

As such, just like websites have many good users, let's look at some things social media is good for! Starting off with the below

  1. Helping you connect with your audience?

Social media is known to allow brands to go deeper into the audience and truly connect with them. Through using the vast tools social media provides, brands can really tell a strong story and grab the attention of the audience. So, according to Digital Information World, the people are on the internet for about an average of 142 minutes per day. Spending time mainly on social media and messaging platforms. Thus, getting seen and showcasing your brand in that plain field is vital to a brand's success in the 21st century.

One way to do this is to create a community your audience will want to participate in and follow on social media. This also allows your brand to reach new audiences and build brand awareness.

Tactics for connecting with your audience on social media include:?

  • Responding to questions and comments
  • Sharing inspirational quotes to motivate your audience?
  • Giving shout outs to loyal social followers and celebrating their wins

These tactics also encourage people to learn more about your brand and go to your website to check it out. These leads may not have found your website on their own, but did find more information about your company because of what they saw on social media.?

2. Building your brand and reputation

Like mentioned above, Brands can create strong stories through social media, and through consistently doing this, brands have the ability to build brand awareness, loyalty and brand reputation. Hence, social media is also a vital channel to use when building your company’s brand. The more connected social audience is with your brand, the more likely they’ll become customers and brand advocates.?

One key way to build your brand on social media is to humanize your company. Some ways to do this include:?

  • Showcasing your team members and celebrating their wins
  • Filming short video interviews with the leadership team
  • Sharing the key pillars of the company’s culture

Another way to build a trusted brand that people connect with is by providing product and service support on social media. The more people know that there’s an actual human being on the other side willing to help them, the more likely they’ll trust the brand you’re building.?

3. Sharing your content

Another good thing about social media is that brands can share real time content about new releases, new services or even just about an employee or anything related to the brand. All it takes is one piece of valuable content to reach the right person at the right time to create a loyal customer. Social media users like to consume content in different ways on different platforms, so keep this in mind as you share your content. For example, If you’re on Facebook or Twitter, you could share a link to your blog. If you’re on Instagram or TikTok, create content that’s primarily images and videos. And If you’re on YouTube, make videos regarding either your blog posts or your free resources.?

Thus, sharing content across multiple platforms can also increase your company’s status as an industry-leader. The more you share, the more you enhance your gravitas, which can influence people to keep following you to obtain valuable information.?

4. Reaching new audiences?

Social media also allows brands to reach new audiences. If your brand is proactive, then social media is a good tool to help you reach wider audiences. Social media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram allow you to use hashtags to follow specific topics.

If you post content on these platforms and use hashtags, your content can be seen by people who follow those hashtags. Hence, people look into and study things like hashtag strategy to make sure they are at the top of their game. As all in all, hashtags really do make the difference.

Using the hashtag strategy can help you reach targeted audiences organically on social media. You can also reach targeted audiences through paid social media marketing, but that will come with a price tag. But we at Earltech recommend using hashtags and getting organic reach first in order to help you understand and practice the subject better. After a few months of this routine, you can move into paid ads.

5. Encouraging interaction with your brand?

Social media always enables brands to go an extra mile with their audience. As mentioned above, while it builds brand loyalty and reputation, social media will also build brand interaction and you can find your market and give you suggestions, feedback and even insight into new areas. This interaction also allows you to understand the current demand and supply for your brand. This is something very unique that social media has. Think about it: every like, comment, or share is a validation that your brand is worth engaging with. It’s a form of social proof that everyone on social platforms can see. Therefore, the more engaging your content and social media is, the more you will see your brand shine and be seen by users and people and your market.?

As such, there are so many social media strategies discussed online that will help you utilize this tool better in order to perform better as a brand, however you can study things like, when and how people interact with your posts and adjust your social strategy with it. Social media platforms also provide you with the necessary tools just like how websites would to access data and analytics/insights about your performance.
