What is Mongolian black?
Mongolian black stone is abundant in the central region of Liaoning Province and Inner Mongolia, among which the Mongolian black stone belongs to a type of stone that has always been called basalt. The physical characteristics of the surface are that it presents a granular and plump texture, and the surface is black stone. After polishing by the machine, there will be a slight yellowing or yellowing phenomenon, with the board surface also showing a slight whitening.
In recent years, foreign trade has gradually increased, resulting in a continuous increase in the number of foreign trade practitioners. Mongolian black stone is actually not specifically named. In the past, foreign trade practitioners used to refer to it as Mongolian black stone, and it has been passed down that some of its pure black stones are collectively referred to as Mongolian black stone, including Fengzhen black, Shanxi black, and so on. To be precise, the stone extracted from each production area is different, so the characteristics of black stone are also different.
The difference between Mongolian black and Chinese black granite:
Firstly, there are differences in the types of stone mined in different regions. Mongolian black stone belongs to basalt, while Chinese black coral jade diabase.
Secondly, due to the differences in mining locations, Mongolian black stone materials are abundant in the mineral veins around Mongolia, known as Mongolian black stone. But China’s black stone is abundant in mineral veins around Hebei.
Thirdly, both are black stones, but there may be some differences in color between Mongolian black stones and Chinese black stones. Professional personnel can clearly see the differences in various stones.
The characteristics of Mongolian black:
1. Mongolian black has high hardness, resistance to acid, alkali, and corrosion, and is resistant to weathering, and not easily damaged. It has high chemical and physical stability, and long service life. This is one of the reasons people like it, which is good quality;
2. The texture of Mongolian black, also known as the color of stone, has a delicate texture and a black color, expressing a noble temperament and also displaying a mysterious and tall temperament. Decorated in real estate, it can improve the overall level of the community;
3. With good ductility and abrasiveness, it can be used for various special-shaped processing, such as external wall dry hanging, tombstone, floor paving stone, tactile paving stone, curb stone, landscape stone, coping stone, etc., which can meet the needs of different projects, so it is popular among people;
According to the physical property measurements conducted by the Inner Mongolia Chifeng Geological and Mineral Exploration Institute in 2004 on Mongolian black basalt samples collected from the Chifeng area, the results showed that the Shore hardness of the Mongolian black sample reached 86.5, the compressive strength reached 1860kg/c ㎡, the flexural strength reached 281kg/c ㎡, and the bulk density reached 3070kg/m 3, Acid resistance reaches 96.06%. Not only does it have a dense structure and hard texture, but it also has excellent acid and alkali resistance, wear resistance, compression resistance, insulation performance, and weather resistance. It is easy to cut and shape and can be used as various processing surfaces for long-term outdoor use. It is widely used as a material for various architectural and garden stones, such as floor coverings, countertops, carvings, tombstones, exterior wall panels, interior wall panels, flooring, square engineering panels, and environmental decorative curbstones.
Mongolian black is a type of black basalt, mainly composed of cryptocrystalline plagioclase and pyroxene, as well as a small amount of volcanic glass and Qinshan iron ore. Its main production areas are located in Karaqin Banner, Aohan Banner, Wengniute Banner, Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, Jianping County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, Jining District, Wulanchabu City, Fengzhen City, and other places. Due to the influence of the Himalayan movement, a large amount of basic magma erupted in these areas in the late Tertiary period, gradually forming Mongolian black basalt layers with a thickness of 500-700m, forming a unique and thick columnar basalt landscape in the area.
At first glance, the stone is not very outstanding. But after mining and processing, Mongolian black will present its unique texture. Standard Mongolian black products have very fine particles. Although the surface color of the polished board is black, it gives a yellowish visual impression and also has some white spots, making it very durable.
