A definition of MIS from my own experience.

MIS- We should know HOW, WHEN, WHERE, and WHAT data to collect and then Slice, dice, scrub and massage it for relevance.

Also, just like everyone is as good as their last haircut, MIS also got that shelf life.. and hence, if not dynamic, shelf life value claims the essence...
