What if Miracles Dwell in the Invisible?

Fereshteh Forough is responsible for my world never running out of Rumi. Hardly a post celebrating the incredible work she and the young women of Afghanistan are doing through Code to Inspire gets posted without sharing something magical from the 13th Century poet.

But the quote I read today really set my curiosity ablaze:? “Never lose hope, my dear, miracles dwell in the invisible.”?

First of all, isn’t it great to know miracles aren’t hiding from you? What if miracles are doing their own thing until you find them?

Secondly, miracles exist! They just exist where we can’t see them–yet!

This is ok because it helps reframe the question from “what if miracles were real?” to “how can we make the invisible visible?”

Humans have proven to be pretty good at making the invisible visible, from how to see the inside of bodies to people seeing each other across space and time. All driven by a curiosity to see more.?

What if, being more intentional with your curiosity, you can start exploring places previously unseen??

How??

What if simply asking “what if…?” more often is a start??

Fereshteh asked, “what if I could help young women in Afghanistan live better lives through learning how to code?” A pretty invisible situation before Fereshteh’s curiosity showed up.

What if the invisible you mine for miracles doesn’t have to be invisible to you? What if, being invisible to others–or most–is enough? Or, maybe, it’s not invisible to you, but it’s not entirely clear, either? Either way, this is where your curiosity can be your guide.?
