What is Microsoft Power Platform?

Hello everyone, I wanted to provide a brief overview of what Microsoft Power Platform is and how it fits within the Microsoft ecosystem. Recently, it has been considered as a "Hot Tech" in Australia, but I've noticed that many people within the industry are not fully aware of its capabilities and its connection to the Dynamics ecosystem. I hope this gives you a better understanding of the platform.

Power Platform is a low-code platform for creating custom business applications using Microsoft technologies such as PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI. It sits within the Microsoft ecosystem and is often used in conjunction with Dynamics 365, Dynamics 365 can be integrated with Power Platform to create custom apps and automate business processes. This allows businesses to easily create and deploy apps that can be used to improve productivity, streamline operations, and make data-driven decisions.

The Power Platform family of products includes:

  • Power Apps, graphical software for writing?low-code?custom business applications. (Known as PowerApps until 2019)
  • Microsoft Power Pages is?a secure, enterprise-grade, low-code software as a service (SaaS) platform for creating, hosting, and administering modern external-facing business websites.
