What medicinal plants did they really use in Ancient Greece?

MPNS recently embarked on an exciting new cross-disciplinary collaboration with historians, philologists, geologists and ethnobotanists. We have an initial focus on a particularly interesting 13th century text from Byzantine Cyprus, but our primary ambition is to develop a methodology to enable historians to identify, with confidence, the plants and other materials cited in early medicinal texts across all cultures.
