What it means to be a Tableau Ambassador?

"The beacon of light that inspires and motivates individuals to do good and uplift others in Tableau Community"

That's what it truly means to me to be a true Tableau Ambassador! The best part is that it does not have a single specific route and you need to be just yourself to be a part of that light.

I'm sure that the above statements might sound a bit cheesy or philosophical but that's me and I like to see things in the best possible beautiful way it can be!

Technically, Tableau Ambassadors empower Tableau users across the globe and it comes in many forms such as:

• Tableau Public Ambassador (For those who love building data visualizations)

• Tableau Social Ambassador (For those who love creating data content and help people across social media platforms)

• Tableau Forums Ambassador (For those who love solving Tableau problems on Tableau Forums)

• Tableau User Group Ambassador (For those who love engaging audience and conduct events for Tableau users across the globe)

• Tableau DataDev Ambassador (For those who love programming and building capabilities for Tableau)

• Tableau Academic Ambassador (For instructors and students who love engage and enable people within educational institutions)

• CRM Analytics Ambassador (For you if you are a CRM or Einstein Analytics fanatic)

In general, there are so many ways to be a Tableau Ambassador and help people across the globe and you should decide what path suits you best.

Now, the common question kicks in -

"Do I have what it takes to be a Tableau Ambassador?"

The answer is that you do not need a superpower but yes, you need to answer the questions mentioned below and the decision will come to surface.

• Are you passionate about using Tableau?

• Do you feel you have an inclination towards helping and uplifting others?

• Do you feel that you have ideas that can help people using Tableau?

• Do you like to engage and have data conversations with people around the globe?

• Do you like to make friends who are Tableau nerds spread across the globe?

If your answer to any of the questions above is YES, then my friend you have what it takes to be a Tableau Ambassador! and I mean it.

Now, there are many of us who like having the title and there is no problem with that. All you have to do is push yourself in any of the areas you feel passionate about and work towards it.

The only ask and my personal recommendation is to be consistent! The world will hear you and things will be put in place! So believe yourself and no matter what happens, show up!

"How do I apply or nominate anyone to be a Tableau Ambassador?"
