What you think matters because, according to Marcus Aurelius, “Our life is what our thoughts make it.”
What you say matters more because, according to Jesus, it is “Out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.”?
What you believe matters even more because, as Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right.”?
So, we know that our thoughts, our words, and our beliefs all matter. But ultimately, all that really matters is what you do. That’s because your actions speak louder than your words.?
You can think, speak, and believe all you want, but what you actually do shows people how serious you are. It’s good to be motivated, but motivation often lasts for only a moment or two. You can get inspiration, which breathes life into your motivation and helps you to move. But it’s discipline that finishes it.
When it comes to life growth and transformation, it all begins with our thoughts, and even five percent of the thoughts that come into our brains come to pass without much effort. But for growth-minded individuals like us, we’ve got to do more. When you have all these thoughts floating around in your brain, you need to capture the good ones and write them down. Better yet, speak about your thoughts and beliefs to someone else as a way of holding yourself accountable because once spoken aloud, it has the potential to change and solidify what you believe. It is only when a belief gets deep down into your heart that you will be able to take action. That’s when the transformation is going to happen.?
On the other hand, if your environment isn’t set up and you’re not thinking the right thoughts, speaking the right words, and believing them, chances are the discipline is not going to be there to make it happen. It may happen for a few days, but it’s not going to bring long-term change. A lack of belief is why New Year’s resolutions don’t result in real transformation.?
Let me challenge you to think about what you are doing every day as a result of what you believe. What environment are you cultivating that will be conducive to growth? What are you thinking, speaking, and believing that is hindering your growth?
Long-term obedience in the same direction is how you will gain success in this life. There's no quick, easy fix. There's no overnight pill that you can take. Lord knows, I tried that route. You’ve got to have long obedience in the same direction.?
This week, I have been taking massive action. I am not just thinking, but I am speaking some things into existence. I plan to lose 100 pounds in the next 300 days. That's my plan. That’s about two pounds every six days, and I'm doing it by long obedience in the same direction, meal prepping, and being active every morning.?

I've thought about it for a long time, and I’ve even spoken about it, but I don't think I really believed it until now. I'm six days in, and I feel amazing, and I'm not going back. I'm going to do it, and discipline is going to keep it because it's in my belief system. All right, so I want you all to hold me accountable. This is really it. I want the next 300 days to change and transform the rest of my life because I want to play with my kids. I want to be active. I want to be in spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical shape.?
So, to recap.
Think it.?
Speak it out loud.
Believe it in your heart.?
Take action.

3 周Enjoyed the read. The concept of our actions stemming from thoughts reminds me of 'being transformed by the renewing of our minds.' And I'm rooting for you in your own journey!
