To Be the One for the Job, there is not a one size fits all. There are multiples things that make you the One for the Job. You would have the education and experience aligned with the role or transferable skills aligned with the role. Your job search would be specified for the role that you are looking for that aligns with your background. Another thing that could help you is whom you know; maybe you have worked for the manager before, worked for someone else that knows the manager, or even someone else you would least expect it to help you in your career. But aside from those aspects, there are other things to help you land that role.
When applying for a position, you want to ensure that your resume is aligned with the role with the skills you have to offer.
Once you receive the call for the interview, you want to prepare for the big day.
