A team is a group of individuals who come together to achieve a common goal or purpose and they are characterized by collaborative effort, shared responsibilities, and mutual accountability. Due to certain reasons and factors the team became dysfunctional. These are few mentioned below-
I will start with first dysfunction.
Absence of Trust: Trust is the confidence among team members that their peers' intentions?are good , and there?is no reason?to be protective and careful around the group. In essence , teammates?must?get comfortable being vulnerable with one another. Trust lies at the heart of functioning?. Without it , teamwork is all about impossible.?

Members of trusting teams -
?Suggestion to overcome trust issue in the team- Trust cannot be developed overnight, It requires conscious and consistent efforts of teams and leaders. however, there are some tools that can help it thrive. Like Personal histories exercise, Team effectiveness exercise and Personality and behavioral preference profile. To develop trust, the leader must start with themselves, becoming the role model.
When people don't trust each other they will always have fear of conflict and will not engage in a productive conflict. That will lead to the second dysfunction "Fear of Conflict".
Stay tuned to hear second dysfunction and share your perspective.

8 个月Trust truly forms the bedrock upon which effective teamwork can flourish. Your breakdown of how trust manifests in both dysfunctional and healthy teams is spot on. Teams that lack trust often exhibit behaviors that hinder collaboration and productivity, whereas trusting teams are more open, proactive, and engaged. You rightly point out the connection between trust and productive conflict. Without trust, teams are often unable to engage in healthy, constructive debates. Fear of conflict becomes a natural consequence, leading to the next dysfunction in team dynamics. ?It's through consistent actions and behaviors that trust can gradually be nurtured and strengthened. Thanks Shailesh Kumar for sharing. Looking forward for other dysfunctions. ??
